Scope

This notice covers the BeyondAllReason.bar website and the Beyond BAR launcher fork. Beyond BAR is built directly on top of the Beyond All Reason project. It retains the underlying BAR client, lobby, account, replay, moderation, and operational logging mechanisms, so the official Beyond All Reason privacy policy more generally applies when you use those inherited features and services.

This fork and website

The Beyond BAR fork does not add a separate user-account system, login, advertising platform, or independent analytics program. The website has no login. As a rule of thumb, this project aims to avoid adding new data collection beyond what is needed to publish the site and operate the launcher.

That does not mean that using the fork is data-free: inherited BAR mechanisms may collect, process, display, or retain information as described in the official policy. The hosting provider, CDN, web server, or security systems may also automatically receive limited technical information such as an IP address, browser or device details, requested URL, referrer, and date and time of a request. These ordinary operational logs may be outside this project’s control.

Launcher and community servers

The launcher lets you choose an official or community server and connect to it. The selected server, its hosting provider, and any linked community services may receive connection information such as your IP address and may keep logs or other records. A server listing on this site is not an endorsement or a guarantee of that operator’s privacy practices. Review the privacy notice and terms for any server or service you choose to use, and do not submit sensitive information unless you understand who will receive it.

Read the upstream policy

The official BAR policy describes the information that may be visible publicly or available to administrators, including account and lobby information, IP address, client and hardware details, login and action history, moderation records, website logs, chat, match history, and replays. It also explains how that information supports online play, moderation, replay browsing, leaderboards, analytics, and service operation. Please read the official Beyond All Reason privacy policy before using the inherited BAR features.

Open source and changes

The project source is available for inspection, and this notice may be updated as the website, launcher, hosting arrangement, or connected services change. If a future feature introduces a material change in data collection, the project should update this notice before or when that feature is deployed.
